Hamas calls for international pressure on Israel to abide by the ceasefire agreement and allow the entry of shelter aid into Gaza

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, accused the Israeli occupation of stalling and reneging on its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, particularly regarding the humanitarian protocol and the entry of essential shelter materials into the Gaza Strip.

In a statement issued Thursday evening, the movement explained that “this stalling exacerbates the humanitarian suffering of the Strip’s residents, coinciding with the onset of winter and the intensification of storms that are battering shelters and dilapidated tents.”

Hamas urged the mediators and guarantor states of the agreement to “take immediate action and exert direct pressure on the occupation to allow the entry of all shelter materials without restrictions, in addition to opening the Rafah crossing as stipulated in the agreement, in a manner that preserves the human dignity of those affected.”

The movement also called on Arab and Islamic countries and the peoples of the world to “intensify their activism and solidarity with the Palestinian people, and to pressure the occupation to halt its ongoing violations and adhere to the humanitarian protocol, enabling Gaza to recover and begin rebuilding what the war destroyed.”
