An Iranian official affirms Iran’s readiness to respond to any aggression and considers talk of any disagreements as misleading

The spokesman for the National Security Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Ebrahim Rezaei, denied on Wednesday the validity of what is being circulated about divisions or disagreements among officials in the country, considering these claims part of disinformation campaigns.

Rezaei explained that what is being raised about differences in stances doesn’t reflect reality, stressing that there is clear political unity behind the leadership on strategic issues, foremost among them the nuclear file and Iran’s national rights.

In the same context, he affirmed that Iranian strategy is based on a combination of resistance and deterrence, not solely on the negotiation path, in reference to the diversity of Iran’s policy tools in dealing with external pressures.

He added that the Iranian armed forces continue to raise readiness levels and enhance their defensive capabilities in light of regional developments, preparing for any potential scenario.

He stressed that Iran today is more capable of dealing with threats, and any potential assault will be met with a decisive and proportionate response, affirming that the country has entered an advanced stage of defensive preparedness.
