Martyrs in Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon

Israeli airstrikes and bombings continue in towns across southern Lebanon, despite the fragile ceasefire agreement in place since April 17. This comes ahead of a planned round of direct negotiations between Beirut and Tel Aviv scheduled for Thursday and Friday, amid growing fears that the truce could collapse.

Four Lebanese civilians were killed on Saturday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns in Lebanon. The National News Agency reported that one person was killed when an Israeli drone fired a missile at a vehicle in Nabatieh.

Israeli warplanes also bombed a building in the Bayyad neighborhood of Nabatieh, killing three young men. The agency added that Israeli aircraft also launched two separate airstrikes on the Zawtar River.

Earlier on Saturday, three people were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a car on the road between the towns of Abbasiyeh and Burj Rahal in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon, amid a significant military escalation in the region.

The agency reported that the airstrike resulted in the deaths of three people, without disclosing their identities. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2nd has risen to 2,795, with 8,586 wounded, according to the latest figures released by the ministry on Saturday evening.
