Iranian media reported on Monday that Iran has delivered a response to the American proposal, which US President Donald Trump described as “unacceptable.”
Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to what was reported, the Iranian response affirms what it describes as the “fundamental rights of the Iranian people” and rejects the American proposal, which Tehran considers “dictations and a relinquishment of sovereignty.”
The Iranian proposal emphasized the necessity of holding the US responsible for compensating for the damages of the war, along with affirming what Tehran calls “Iranian sovereignty” over the Strait of Hormuz, in addition to demanding the complete lifting of sanctions and the release of Iranian assets and frozen funds.
In contrast, the Iranian response stressed its rejection of what it described as the “policy of subjugation,” affirming that any agreement must be based on the principle of balance and the complete lifting of sanctions.
In a related field development, the public relations of the Iranian army announced that the air defense systems of the Iranian armed forces managed to shoot down a “hostile” reconnaissance drone in the southwestern region of the country.
The statement explained that the drone was detected by the integrated air defense network before being successfully engaged and downed, without providing further details about which party it belonged to.
These developments come amid escalating regional tensions related to indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington and the continuation of military tension in more than one arena in the region.
