Iran: Death toll rises in recent US attacks

Iranian Health Ministry spokesman Hossein Kermanpour announced that the death toll from the recent US attacks on Iran has risen to 35, with more than 300 injured.

Kermanpour stated in a post on his account on the US-based company X platform on Wednesday that the attacks resulted in over 300 injuries, including women and children, in addition to the 35 fatalities.

He added that the provinces of Hormozgan, Sistan and Baluchestan, and Khuzestan were the most affected by the attacks.

Earlier that morning, Kermanpour had announced that the attacks had killed two people and injured 260 others, before the toll later increased.

Since dawn on Sunday, the United States has been launching daily airstrikes on several cities and islands in Iran, claiming they are in retaliation for Tehran’s targeting of commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
