Western reports and statements have revealed direct repercussions of the Yemeni decision to ban Saudi navigation, confirming that the mere threat of targeting ships linked to the Kingdom in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb has had a tangible impact on navigation movement, even without carrying out attacks.

The American newspaper “The Washington Times” stated that the threat targeting Saudi ships in Bab Al-Mandeb has become sufficient to disrupt the Kingdom’s maritime movement, while “The National” newspaper quoted an advisor to “Zenita” company, specialized in the maritime shipping market, as saying that Saudi Arabia cannot bear the continuation of the Yemeni blockade, given its increasing reliance on its ports overlooking the Red Sea.

The advisor added that Saudi ports on the Red Sea have become the maritime lifeline for the Kingdom, in light of the changes witnessed in regional shipping lines and the escalating repercussions of the Yemeni decision.
