martyrs recovered in Al-Sabra neighborhood; search continues for dozens missing

The Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday the recovery of the bodies and remains of 47 martyrs from under the rubble of the Al-Hasayna family home in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Colonel Muhammad Abu Dan, the Civil Defense’s executive supervisor for the recovery operations, stated that Civil Defense teams were able to recover the bodies and remains of 47 martyrs from a single house belonging to the Al-Hasayna family.

Abu Dan confirmed that rescue teams are continuing to search for 36 other bodies, believed to still be buried under the rubble.

He explained that the search operations are facing significant challenges, noting that the teams will continue their search on Wednesday, looking under neighboring houses, as the bodies may have been displaced there by the intensity of the bombardment that targeted the area.
