Saudi Attempt to Mitigate Yemeni Attacks by Opening Ground Fronts

Saudi Arabia began attempts on Saturday to mitigate the intensity of Yemeni strikes by opening ground fronts.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Riyadh pushed its factions to activate the fronts of Marib and Al-Jawf, in addition to Taiz.

These factions launched attacks on Sana’a forces’ positions in recent hours—according to coalition media—supported by Saudi airpower.

The activation of these fronts followed a meeting hosted by Riyadh, overseen by Saudi Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman, after which Rashad Al-Alimi—head of the coalition-loyal Presidential Council—declared his entry into the war on behalf of Saudi Arabia.

These developments come as Yemen threatens to continue its operations against Saudi Arabia in response to the recent escalation and to lift the siege.

Although the coalition factions are not ready for a wide-scale confrontation, the timing of their activation indicates Riyadh’s attempt to occupy Sana’a with internal confrontations to avoid further strikes, awaiting a diplomatic breakthrough.
