Two children killed and another injured in shelling by pro-Saudi forces in Taiz and Hudaydah

Local sources reported on Monday the death of a girl and a boy and the injury of another child in shelling by Saudi-loyal forces targeting civilian areas in Taiz and Hudaydah governorates.

The sources said that a girl was killed and another child was injured by a mortar shell fired by Saudi-loyal forces targeting the Al-Tabishah area in Sabr Al-Mawadim district in Taiz governorate.

They indicated that the shelling also targeted two villages in the Al-Farawesh area in the same district.

In Hodeidah governorate, a boy was killed by a shell originating from Saudi-backed Tareq Saleh’s forces while he was herding sheep in the Al-Hulaysa area south of Al-Jarahi district.

In turn, the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in the Sana’a government condemned the Taiz crime, stating that “the killed girl was a fifth-grade student, while the injured child studies in the eighth grade.”

It indicated that they were targeted while returning home after the school day ended.

The Eye of Humanity for Rights and Development also condemned “in the strongest terms the targeting of students of the Mus’ab bin Umair School by Saudi enemy mercenaries and the targeting of 4 children and women in their homes in Sabr Al-Mawadim and Al-Ta’iziyah in Taiz.”
