Commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard vows revenge for wedding ceremony victims bombed by America

The Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Major General Ahmad Vahidi, vowed on Thursday to take revenge on those responsible for the American attack that targeted a wedding ceremony in the Kohestak area of Hormozgan province in southern Iran, resulting in civilian casualties.

Vahidi affirmed in a message sent to the victims’ families that the blood of the dead will not be in vain, stressing that the Revolutionary Guard and the Iranian armed forces will continue their duties in protecting the country’s security and preserving the lives of civilians.

The Commander of the Revolutionary Guard considered that targeting a civilian occasion reveals the level of hostility Iran faces, affirming that the armed forces will continue to perform their responsibilities in protecting the people and dealing with the repercussions of the attack.

Vahidi stressed that those responsible for executing the attack, along with those who ordered it or stand behind it, will be held accountable, in a message that carried an Iranian pledge to respond to the incident through the paths deemed appropriate by the military and security leadership.
