Albanese: Three years have passed and the genocide in Gaza has not ended

The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, Francesca Albanese, affirmed that the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip “is not over,” despite the passage of three years since its commencement.

Albanese stated that the scale of destruction in Gaza and the deteriorating situation in the occupied West Bank require more than mere diplomatic condemnations.

Albanese, an Italian human rights lawyer, added that “the situation on the ground is catastrophic and beyond words.”

On October 8, 2013, Israel, with US support, launched a genocidal war in Gaza, resulting in over 74,000 Palestinian deaths and more than 175,000 injuries, the majority of whom are children and women, and the destruction of 90 percent of the infrastructure.
