Report – Silent bombs in Yemen

Yemeni cities are suffering from a new wave of epidemics, as reports talk about the spread of swine flu in the north, dengue fever, and the West Nile virus in Taiz and Shabwa, in addition to other types of fever whose source and causes are not yet known to be an outbreak of the disease on the western coast, but an extension of a series Growing epidemics that Yemen did not know until 2017, when cholera began to spread for the first time, two years after Saudi Arabia led a war alliance that includes more than 17 countries

Today, after 5 years of war in Yemen, there is talk of a peace process or rather, the alliance is based on international moves to end the war on Yemen, but amid this calm, storms of Yemeni epidemics are sweeping over Yemen, is it betting on the epidemic paper as a last weapon?

There are many types of epidemics in Yemen, all of which result in death.

There are no official statistics on the number of fever victims so far, as news speaks of dozens, in addition to cases of H1N1 virus, deaths were recorded in different cities, and information from the Epidemiological Surveillance Office revealed that during Monday (December 17, 2019) only 7 deaths and 34 cases Suspected.

Cholera also, according to international organizations, continued to kill Yemenis. According to Sanaa Ministry of Health reports, the number of cases has reached more than a million and a half million since the outbreak began and more than 3,200 deaths.

Then followed by cancer, as mid-year Health Minister Taha Al-Mutawakkil announced an increase of about 40,000 cases annually. In addition, diphtheria and many types of epidemics targeted women, children and youth alike.

This frightening outbreak of epidemics in the darkness of war may seem natural, or while the coalition is trying to promote it, but all indications are that the process is well thought out, especially given the coalition consumes all its military and economic potential.

During the past years of the war in Yemen, the coalition focused its air strikes on targeting health facilities, destroying hundreds of them, many of whom were out of service and operating just under half, while international organizations earlier warned that the remaining facilities would be out of service due to funding cuts.

This targeting was parallel to encouraging groups loyal to this work to storm research centers, as happened in Taiz, where extremist groups stormed the central bacterial culture laboratory in 2017, to plant bacteria, not to mention the imposition of the blockade and prevent entry to certain types of medicine, as Sana says with the aim of The situation worsened.

Regardless of the precedent, they are certainly justifications for the alliance to hide the crime, and the truth is that what began to resonate with the Western media, and are represented by the types of weapons with biological impact, these weapons were used in the Iraq war, which is included in the reports of the Environmental Protection Association, after examining samples of Water and plants in the areas hit by the American-Gulf bombing

This position is closely related to the official statistics obtained by Yemeni news at the beginning of the year, and it is reported that more than two cases of cancer were recorded in Saada and Hajjah, and not one province was registered in one year.

During the past three years in a governorate, the number of cases has grown to 600 annually, after the war coalition bombed it,

Add this to the fact that the areas that witness clashes and air strikes, whether in northern or southern Yemen alone, are those areas where these epidemics appear suddenly and without warning.

Commenting on the spread of epidemics in Yemen, Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, a specialist in microbiology affairs, confirms that there is a kind of biological warfare in Yemen, based on his studies and research.

Al-Asbahi told Al-Akhbar Al-Yamania, it is true that war and siege weakened the immune system of many citizens.

But this does not mean that there is no “biological” war to serve the coalition, which seeks through the spread of epidemics, to spread fear and control of areas where progress has failed militarily, in addition to the complicity of pharmaceutical companies that play a role in this dirty war.

Al-Asbahi cites wars in which H1N1 swine flu and cholera have been used worldwide, and it later turns out that they are all part of a bacterial and viral war launched by drug companies and parties to the conflict.

It calls for the formation of a committee of neutral international experts in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the United Nations to conduct broader research and survey areas that have been bombed and suffer from deadly diseases,

He pointed out that such wars do not only harm humans, but also the soil of food.
