The Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) in Sana’a confirmed on Saturday that the Saudi-Emirati coalition detained three oil derivatives ships.
Official spokesman for the Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) Issam Al-Mutawakil said in a statement to Houthis-run Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that the Saudi coalition continues to engage in piracy on fuel ships, where on Friday it detained the diesel ambulance ship (Harvict), which carries 29,976 tons of diesel, despite having been inspected and cleared by the United Nations.
“The detained ships carry 88,439 tons of gasoline and diesel,” he said, noting that the countries of Saudi coalition are holding oil ships, ignoring the declared armistice agreement and the Sweden agreement, which stressed the need to deliver the necessary materials and humanitarian assistance.
Al-Mutawkil considered the detention of the ship is a clear violation of the UN armistice, which is supposed to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
