Marib Authorities Begin Displacing the Displaced

Marib authority loyal to the coalition began on Wednesday, a process of displacing the displaced from the refugee camps that were erected on the outskirts of the city, according to a security plan that prevents the advance of “Houthis” in the last strongholds of Islah.

Exclusive-Alkhabar alyemeni:

The Marib Authority refused to provide relief to the displaced people in As-Suwayda and Al-Naqaya’a camps who were stranded after wind and dust uprooted their tents and buried most of their furniture.

Not only the displaced in As-Suwayda and Al-Naqa’a face their fate, under humanitarian conditions and bad weather, rather, it reached the escalation by cutting off the electricity supply to Al-Jufaina camp, which is close to Safer power station, in a move that activists on social media considered as a forced displacement.

These developments come in the wake of devastating fires targeting camps for the displaced in several other areas of the city. The deportation of the displaced from Marib came in the wake of an agreement concluded by the coalition authority in Marib with international organizations to raise the ceiling of support for the displaced, after disputes due to the false reports submitted by Islah authority and rejected by the international organizations.

It also comes at a time when the coalition is pushing for a comprehensive Yemeni agreement this indicates that the coalition authority no longer needs to exploit these people to market them as a defensive plan for the city.
