UAE-Backed Forces Arrest Yemeni Fisherman in Shabwa

The UAE-backed militia arrested on Thursday several Yemeni fishermen and held them in Balhaf facility for exporting liquefied gas, located on the coast of Shabwa province, in southern Yemen.

Local sources said that last Sunday, forces loyal to the UAE arrested several fishermen from Radhom district, while they were fishing usually in the sea off Bir Ali Area, and placed them in a prison in the Balhaf facility that the Emirati forces turned into a military barracks.

The fate of the arrested fishermen is not known, and the Emirati forces refuse to allow them to be visited or to contact their families, the sources added.
