The vanguards of the “Nation Shield `” began on Thursday, to enter Aden city, the most important stronghold of the Transitional Council, in southern Yemen.
According to local sources in Aden, large forces, reinforced with armored vehicles and crews, arrived at the coalition camp in Al-Shaab city.
The new forces came from “Dra’ al-Watan” camps in Lahij.
The mission of the new forces, estimated at three brigades, was not known, and they were trained during the past months in the camps of Khor Amira and Ras al-Ara. However, its timing indicates that it is part of a deployment map being prepared by Saudi Arabia, which has previously handed these factions the tasks of securing important institutions. Most notably, the headquarters of the coalition, in preparation for the return of the Presidential Council and Aden government.
