The broadcasting authority affiliated with the Israeli occupation entity stated that the security apparatus is considering the possibility of reducing the number of reserve forces due to the high economic cost and the damage inflicted on the country’s economy as a result of the absence of those belonging to these forces from their homes and workplaces.

The Israeli occupation entity has called up over 200,000 soldiers from the reserve forces so far, and the direct cost of covering their expenses is approximately one billion and 350 million dollars, in addition to the cost of lost workdays for reserve soldiers estimated at around 1.6 billion shekels (equivalent to approximately $1.8 billion in total).
The authority added that “the possibility of adopting flexibility regarding the service of reserve soldiers is being studied, allowing them to return to their work for long periods, but the matter is still under study, subject to security needs and the changing field reality.”
For the past 42 days, the occupation has been waging a destructive war on Gaza, resulting in 11,500 Palestinian martyrs, including 4,710 children and 3,160 women, in addition to 29,800 injuries, 70% of whom are children and women, according to official Palestinian sources.
