The ship “Estrinda,” which Sana’a forces announced had been targeted with a naval missile, was headed to the Israeli enemy entity and carrying “chemical materials,” according to Hebrew media outlet confirmations.

Follow-up – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

In response to Sana’a’s announcement of the operation, the Israeli daily “Yedioth Ahronoth” stated that the Norwegian ship “Estrinda” was carrying chemical materials and was heading to the Israeli port of Ashdod.

The Hebrew patrol clarified, “Another escalation occurred in the Red Sea after an anti-ship cruise missile was launched tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) from Yemen towards the commercial tanker “Estrinda,” which was transporting chemical materials to the port of Ashdod and was supposed to dock there on January 4th.”

After insistence on ignoring warnings, the Sana’a forces disclosed the details of the qualitative military operation they carried out during the past hours against a ship sailing toward the Israeli enemy.

The military spokesman for Sana’a forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed in a military statement that the ship “Estrinda” was loaded with oil and heading toward the Israeli entity when it was targeted by a suitable naval missile during a “qualitative military operation.”

Saree emphasized that Sana’a forces “did not resort to targeting the Norwegian ship loaded with oil until after the crew rejected all warning calls.”

He also pointed out in his statement the success of Sana’a forces in the past two days in “preventing the passage of several ships that responded to the warnings of the Yemeni naval forces.”

He stated that this operation came as a “victory for the injustice of the Palestinian people, who are currently being subjected to killing, destruction, and siege in the Gaza Strip,” as well as a “response to the calls of the free people from the sons of our great Yemeni people and the people of our nation.”

Saree confirmed that Sana’a forces will not hesitate “to target any ship that violates the previous statements,” referring to the decision to prevent ships from crossing to the Israeli enemy, regardless of its nationality, unless Gaza and its residents are fully supplied with food and medicine.

The statement by Sanaa forces emphasized their commitment to “continuing to prevent all ships of all nationalities heading to Israeli ports from navigating in the Arabian and Red Seas until our steadfast brothers in the Gaza Strip receive the full provisions of food and medicine.”
