The Israeli occupation forces continued their arrest campaigns in the West Bank at an unprecedented pace, in light of the ongoing war of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli occupation forces arrested from yesterday evening until Monday morning, at least 16 Palestinians from the West Bank.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said in a joint statement on Monday that the toll of arrests in the West Bank since the start of the war of extermination on Gaza has reached more than 12,000 arrests.

The arrests included all segments of Palestinian society, in addition to the arrest of dozens of Palestinian workers, and thousands from Gaza, and so far institutions concerned with prisoners’ affairs have not been able to identify all their numbers and identities accurately, as the Israeli occupation continues to carry out the crime of enforced disappearance against them.

The 430-day arrest campaign has been accompanied by summary executions, direct shooting or threat of arrest, severe beatings, field investigations that have affected hundreds, and the use of sniffer dogs.

The occupying forces deliberately use Palestinians as human shields and hostages, in addition to carrying out extensive vandalism of homes, confiscating belongings, cars, money, gold jewelry and electronic devices, as well as demolishing and blowing up houses belonging to prisoners in the occupation prisons.
