The UN rapporteur on the right to housing, Balakrishnan Rajagopal, said that the destruction and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip can be removed without displacing Palestinians from their land.
He added, in a press statement, on Saturday evening, that 70% of the buildings of the Gaza Strip were destroyed by the Israeli aggression, and that about 70% of the Strip can be rebuilt within a period ranging from 5 to 10 years.
Rajagopal pointed out that the estimated cost of rebuilding the Gaza Strip after the Israeli aggression is estimated at $ 60 billion.
