UNRWA: The continued blockade on Gaza is worsening the humanitarian crisis

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced yesterday that more than one million people are at risk of being left without food parcels in Gaza.

UNRWA said in a post on its Facebook page that “more than one million people in Gaza are at risk of being left without food parcels if supplies are not allowed in,” according to the website of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

It added that “the ongoing blockade is worsening the humanitarian crisis,” stressing the need for this blockade to end. UNRWA announced the day before yesterday that 124,000 people had been displaced in Gaza in just days.
