On Wednesday, Yemen continued to pursue the American aircraft carrier “USS Harry S. Truman” despite confirmation of its distance from waters near Yemen, complicating American plans to reinforce its fleet there with another called “Carl Vinson.”
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Yemeni Armed Forces, in a new statement, confirmed the targeting of the “Truman” fleet, which exceeds 1,000 nautical miles away from the nearest point to Yemen. Drones were used in the attack, confirming reports of their distance from the range of Yemeni missiles.
The new attack came a day after Mohammed Al-Houthi, a member of the Supreme Political Council, confirmed that “Truman” had significantly moved away.
Al-Houthi challenged the US Central Command in a tweet on his social media page to broadcast a video of the islands where the “Truman” is stationed and the coasts as well, in response to an American attempt to show off by publishing photos and video clips limited to the flight deck of the US battleship.
Al-Houthi pointed out that the American forces are using distant bases, referring to the Diego Garcia Island in the Indian Ocean, where B-2 and B-52 strategic bombers have been transferred in its current aggression against Yemen.
The targeting of the “Truman” in its new location comes as America is looking to reinforce its naval fleet in the Middle East, fearing an escalation of confrontations.
In this context, diplomatic sources revealed that America has delayed the deployment of the aircraft carrier “Carl Vinson” fleet, indicating that the American leadership is looking for a distant location to station it.
American media had previously confirmed that the Department of Defense, which recently reinforced their forces in the Middle East as confrontations intensified in Yemen, are now suffering from the burden of the possibility of exposing those forces to danger, including the sinking of aircraft carriers.
The American forces are currently using a military base in the Indian Ocean for the aggression on Yemen, which reveals the extent of what they are suffering due to Yemen.
