Follow ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
On Thursday, France withdrew its naval fleet from the Indian Ocean.
This coincides with the intensification of confrontations with American forces in the Red Sea, amid expectations of their expansion into the Indian Ocean, where America uses it as an alternative base with the striking of its fleets in the Red Sea.
French media reports indicated that the French aircraft carrier strike group “Charles de Gaulle” crossed the Suez Canal on its way to the Mediterranean.
It quoted sources in the French Ministry of Defense as saying that the French mission known as “Clemenceau 25” will be stationed in the Mediterranean after completing its deployment mission in the Indian Ocean.
The French fleet comes days after France reduced its presence in the Red Sea, where it withdrew another battleship from there.
The French movements come amid an escalation of the Yemeni-American confrontations in the Red Sea, with expectations of their extension to the Indian Ocean, where Yemen revealed that America is using bases there to attack it, with the success of the Yemeni forces in restricting the American aircraft carrier fleet in the Red Sea “Harry S. Truman.”
It is expected that the Indian Ocean will turn into an arena for open confrontation with American forces, especially if they decide to expand their aggression against other countries in the region.
The French withdrawal indicates a decision by the European Union not to engage in the American confrontation, especially after NATO’s recent refusal, at a meeting of the alliance, to support American plans for expansion in the Indian Ocean at the expense of European security in the war with Russia.
