Military operations have spread to several areas of the Gaza Strip, with injuries reported in Jabalia and artillery shelling targeting Rafah, Gaza City, and Khan Younis. This comes amidst continued escalation despite the ceasefire agreement, exacerbating the casualty toll. The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the number of martyrs and wounded since the start of the war on October 7, 2023, has risen to 244,535, as a result of ongoing Israeli shelling and gunfire.
In its daily report on Monday, the Ministry stated that hospitals in the Strip received four new martyrs and ten wounded in the past 24 hours, noting that victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets due to the inability of ambulance and civil defense teams to reach them.
The Ministry added that the cumulative toll of the ongoing military aggression has reached 72,333 martyrs and 172,202 wounded, including serious injuries, while the occupation continues to prevent the evacuation of the wounded for treatment outside the Strip.
