The Washington Post reported on Monday that the war with Iran has depleted American ammunition stockpiles at an unprecedented rate.
Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The newspaper stated in a report that the first sixteen days of fighting consumed about 40% of THAAD interceptor missiles, indicating that replenishing that quantity of advanced missiles could take years.
The newspaper pointed out that the experience has prompted the Pentagon to review its military doctrine and move towards producing larger quantities of low-cost munitions, after recent confrontations demonstrated the limited reliance on expensive weapons in facing missiles and drones.
