American Report: Trump Supported a Saudi Military Move in Yemen Amid Riyadh’s Concern over a Broader Yemeni Response

The American website “Axios” revealed, citing American officials, that President Donald Trump gave Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman his full support for a military move against Sana’a, affirming that the recent escalation between the two parties represents the most dangerous turning point since 2022.

Washington – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The website quoted an American official as saying that Riyadh had informed Washington of its grave concern regarding developments in the field situation and requested support for potential military strikes against the “Houthis,” noting that the Saudi Crown Prince had briefed Trump on this military move in advance before commencing it.

According to American officials, Riyadh expresses deep concern over the possibility of a wider military confrontation with Sana’a, which may require immediate provision of military and diplomatic support from the US administration to secure and protect the Saudi position.

In the context of the American allegations accompanying this tension, an American official claimed to “Axios” that an Iranian aircraft was carrying weapons, missile parts, and military experts on its way to Sana’a, the pretext Washington attempted to use to justify the raids on Sana’a International Airport.

These American leaks, which do not appear surprising, intersect with the farcical narrative that the Riyadh-loyal Aden government attempted to promote by claiming responsibility for bombing the airport and denying Saudi involvement in the assault, a political theater that only garnered widespread mockery and ridicule on social media platforms.
