Continued Halt of Navigation at Saudi Abha Airport Over 20 Hours After Its Targeting

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Data from specialized sites tracking air navigation movement showed the continued closure of Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia to flights, over 20 hours after it was subjected to a military operation.

The Yemeni Armed Forces had announced yesterday evening the execution of a qualitative military operation targeting Abha International Airport with a number of ballistic missiles and drones.

The spokesman for the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, confirmed in a statement that the operation “successfully achieved its objectives,” indicating that it came within the framework of responding to the continued bombing of Sana’a International Airport.

In a related context, the Yemeni military media today issued a stern warning directed to all international and regional airlines, calling on them not to cross Saudi airspace.

The text of the warning stated: “We warn all airlines against crossing Saudi airspace, and they must take our warnings seriously until the siege on Sana’a International Airport is lifted.”
