The revelation by the official spokesman for the Yemeni forces in Sana’a, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, regarding the details of what was stated in his statement yesterday about foiling criminal attempts in the capital, Sana’a, carried out by Saudi Arabia and dyed with the “ISIS dye,” comes to clarify in his statement today that this dye consisted of attempts to carry out treacherous bombings directly targeting civilians without discrimination or exception.

The swift response did not take more than twenty-four hours; Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed in today’s statement that “within the framework of responding to the attempts of the criminal Saudi enemy to target the capital, Sana’a, with ISIS methods and means, through attempted bombings that target civilians without discrimination or exception, accordingly, the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out two qualitative military operations with a large number of ballistic and cruise missiles and drones. The first targeted sensitive targets in the capital of the Saudi enemy, Riyadh, and the second targeted the Aramco company in Yanbu. Both operations were successful and led to the outbreak of massive fires at the targeted locations.”
This announcement and the missile strikes come as a field confirmation that any targeting of civilian objects and activities in the capital, Sana’a, will be immediately met with wide-scale targeting of Riyadh and the joints of Saudi decision-making, thus consolidating the equation of “capital for capital” and direct response to the options of chaos and terrorism.
These “criminal moves” highlight the historical approach and behavior of the Saudi regime in Yemen; resorting to security cards is an extension of old methods through which Riyadh has persistently created and recruited terrorist groups to carry out sabotage acts in various governorates. These crimes were intensively concentrated prior to September 21, 2014, when military parades, mosques, and civilian gatherings in the heart of the capital, Sana’a, were targeted to spread chaos and shed blood, followed by more than 265,000 airstrikes since March 2015 within the war coalition on Yemen.
Field data indicate that Sana’a, with its latest strikes, did not merely respond to the toll of 732 airstrikes launched from Taif and Khamis Mushait bases and foil the present security plot, but also established a preemptive deterrence rule: that Riyadh’s continuation of launching raids or moving its terrorist tools against the capital, Sana’a, and the rest of the governorates will mean an immediate transition to executing wider and more painful operations that hit the economic and military arteries in the Saudi depth.
