Swedish foreign minister Ann Linde and Sweden’s envoy to Yemen Peter Semneby arrived in Mukalla for a mysterious visit to Hadhramaut province, southeastern Yemen, Yemen News Portal reported based on well-informed sources.
The Swedish delegation’s visit came amid intense diplomatic movement aimed at pushing the Yemeni parties to stop the war and revive the stalled political process.
Over the past two days, the delegation had several meetings with Saudi and Yemeni officials in the coalition-backed government in Riyadh.
