Sana’a Announces Opening of Road in Taiz Unilaterally

The Supreme Political Council (SPC), the highest ruling authority in Sana’a, announced on Wednesday a unilateral initiative to open the 50-60 road in Taiz province.

Sana’a SPC said that this move comes on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha and to alleviate the suffering of the people of Taiz in light of the intransigence of the Saudi-sponsored forces to accept the initiatives put forward by the Military Committee during the period past.

According to Houthis-run Saba news agency, The SPC indicated that this step came after consulting with the National Military Committee, which is making great efforts to open roads in Taiz, and a number of provinces that the Saudi-backed forces continue to repudiate.

The SPC held the militias in Taiz responsible for obstructing the opening of the road, and any attack on the safe travelers there, and the consequences thereof.

It called on the people of Taiz to defend their path and reveal those who obstruct the opening of the road.
