UN Special Envoy for Yemen Arrives in Aden

UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg has on Monday arrived in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden, coming from Oman.

Sources said that Grundberg’s visit is part of efforts to extend the UN truce in Yemen, as the Supreme Political Council stressed the need for the Riyadh-formed Presidential Council to commit to paying the salaries of all employees.

The supreme political council in Sana’a said that the extension of the truce would depend on the obligation to pay all employees, the opening of Sanaa International Airport and the port of Hodeidah.
