Britain revealed on Saturday that its battleships in the Red Sea had come under Yemeni attacks.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
According to the British Defense Minister, a British battleship was targeted by a drone attack off the coast of Yemen, claiming that it was intercepted.
The defense minister explained that the attack occurred while the British battleship was escorting ships that had previously been targeted on Friday.
Britain is the third major power to disclose its military presence in the Red Sea as part of efforts to break the naval blockade on Israel and subject itself to targeting. This move may lead Britain to withdraw, following in the footsteps of France, which abruptly halted its operations by escorting ships after reports of attacks against its frigate. Additionally, the US confirmed that it does not have any warships in the Red Sea after having deployed the USS Carney destroyer and the Mason destroyer to escort ships in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandeb Strait.
