Sana’a reveals the fate of the ceasefire agreement with Washington after the sanctions decision

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

An official in the Sana’a authority revealed the fate of the ceasefire agreement between Sana’a and Washington following a decision to impose sanctions on companies that export American crude oil.

The Governor of Dhamar Governorate and member of the Political Bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, Mohammed Nasser Al-Bukhaiti, said that the entry of Sana’a’s decision to impose a ban on the export of American oil into force within the theater of military operations of Sana’a’s forces is not a violation of the ceasefire agreement with the US, but rather a just reaction to the American ban imposed on the entry of fuel into Yemen.

He stressed that Sana’a will not allow America to impose an equation of practicing aggression and economic blockade unilaterally, and that Sana’a will meet aggression with aggression and blockade with blockade.

Last Tuesday, the Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center of the Sana’a authority had announced the imposition of sanctions on 13 major American oil companies, among them “ExxonMobil,” “Chevron,” “ConocoPhillips,” and “Valero,” on charges of violating the ban on the export of American crude oil.

The center clarified that the sanctions also included listing 9 executive managers in these companies on the PAYAIS sanctions list, in addition to listing two American oil tankers on the list of violations for their involvement in crude export operations.

He indicated that this step came in response to the recent measures by the US Treasury Department against Yemeni entities, confirming that the sanctions come within the principle of “reciprocity.”
