World Food Programme: We need to open all crossings into the Gaza Strip

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) called on Wednesday for the opening of all crossings into the Gaza Strip to expand humanitarian aid.

The WFP said that nearly one million people in the Strip have received food assistance since the ceasefire went into effect.

WFP spokesperson Abeer Atefa said, “Three and a half weeks after the ceasefire in Gaza, we have distributed food parcels to nearly one million people across the Strip.”

Atefa stressed the importance of opening more crossings and facilitating humanitarian access to ensure the continued and wider distribution of aid within the Strip.
