A rare Israeli admission: Planes burning at Ben Gurion Airport

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Israel Airports Authority revealed that three planes were hit and caught fire at Ben Gurion Airport as a result of Iranian missile attacks, in the first admission of its kind by Israel regarding damage to the main airport.

The Israel Airports Authority stated that three private planes parked at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv sustained “severe” damage after being hit, as it said, by shrapnel from Iranian missiles.

The authority explained that the damage occurred during the past few days, without specifying the time of the incident, as military censors lifted the publication ban on this incident on Wednesday but did not allow its date to be disclosed. It provided no details about the planes’ owners.

Meanwhile, the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that one of the planes was completely burnt after catching fire.

Commercial flights at Israel’s main airport have been suspended since the start of the American-Israeli aerial attacks on Iran and the subsequent Iranian response of launching missiles at Israel.
