Israel has expanded the operations of blasting the homes of the Lebanese in the south to reach the Zahrani River, which is about 45 km away from the border, which reflects its transmission from deterrence and containment to distance, with the aim of re-engineering up to 13% of Lebanon’s area. Earlier today, Saturday, the occupation army published a video clip showing it was carrying out extensive bombing operations in the town of Al-Bayada, south of the Litani River. These operations included houses and civilian roads. This is not the first time that the occupation army carried out bombing operations in Al-Bayada. Today’s operation was justified by uncovering a Hezbollah tunnel. In practice, these operations reflect Israel’s transition from control of what it calls the 500-kilometre yellow line, to making it a launching pad for re-engineering a larger area. The military expert, Brigadier General Elias Hanna, says it reaches 13% of Lebanon’s area. Through these military operations, Israel is trying to re-engineer the area referred to geographically, demographics (demographic structure) and topography (the nature of the place), through displacement of the population.
