Closure of the largest oil ports in eastern Yemen

The Transitional Council, loyal to the UAE in southern Yemen, escalated its actions on Thursday as part of its program to expel the Saudi occupation.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Council succeeded in paralyzing the most important maritime port in eastern Yemen.

Hundreds of the Council’s supporters surrounded the port of Mukalla, which houses the most important oil export ports in the east of the country.

The demonstrations in front of the port are part of an escalation program initiated by the Transitional Council on the 7th of last month against Saudi Arabia.

The demonstrations were part of escalating activities that also included extending civil disobedience to government institutions in Hadhramaut, in parallel with the encirclement of the residence of the governor and member of the Presidential Council, Salem Al-Khanbashi.

The Transitional Council’s escalation in Hadhramaut, rich in oil in eastern Yemen, comes in parallel with Saudi moves to loot the governorate’s oil stockpile, which the Council rejects and demands that its revenues be allocated for the governorate’s benefit.
