Sana’a Government: The Main Roads To and From Taiz City Are Open

The Sana’a government affirmed on Sunday that the main roads leading to and from Taiz city are open.

Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Sana’a government, in a statement by its spokesman Omar Al-Bukhaiti, accused the Saudi-backed forces of closing 19 vital roads and outlets and targeting citizens’ cars with airstrikes.

Al-Bukhaiti warned against the continuation of cutting the roads, affirming the government’s readiness to provide food, medicine, fuel, and basic needs for the residents of Taiz city, which is under the control of the other party.

The spokesman for the Sana’a government called on the notables of Taiz to cooperate to facilitate the entry of services and supplies.

This comes days after the Islah-affiliated Taiz military axis closed the eastern outlet that links the city and Al-Houban area, claiming that the reasons behind its step were security-related.

In a related context, Taiz Governorate is witnessing accelerating developments in the military field scene, after the Sana’a forces finalized their control over all the Al-Hujariyah districts during the past days, reaching Al-Masrakh today, which makes them close to encircling the control of the Saudi-backed forces in the city.
