The governorates of Taiz, Sa’ada, and Al-Bayda witnessed today a series of Saudi aerial, missile, and artillery attacks, which resulted in the martyrdom of five citizens and the wounding of two others, among them victims who fell as a result of targeting a residential house in Taiz, in conjunction with the bombardment of border villages in Sa’ada and the targeting of a communications network in Al-Bayda, amid human rights condemnations of the attack on civilians’ homes.
Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Ministry of Health and Environment reported the martyrdom of three citizens and the wounding of two others, as a result of an airstrike launched by Saudi aviation on the house of one of the citizens in Al-Athawir isolation in Hayfan District in Taiz Governorate, noting that the toll is initial.
In Sa’ada Governorate, two citizens were martyred by the fire of the Saudi forces in the Qahr Bani Al-Harith area in the border Baqim District, according to a local source, while residential villages in Al Thabit isolation in Qatabir District were subjected to missile and artillery bombardment.
The attacks extended to Al-Bayda Governorate, where Saudi aviation targeted with an airstrike the communications network in the Al-Kharqa area in Dhi Na’im District, according to a local source.
A Human Rights Condemnation of the Saudi Crimes:
Following the targeting of the residential house in Hayfan, the National Human Rights Commission condemned the crime, considering that it represents a violation of the rules of international humanitarian law.
The Commission said that targeting the civilians’ house comes within a series of attacks that hit health centers in Hayfan and Al-Silw, and mosques, homes, and roads in Al-Shamaytin in Taiz Governorate.
It held Saudi Arabia legally and criminally responsible for the airstrike, announcing its documentation and addition to the file of crimes that it said it will pursue those responsible for before international courts.
The Commission called on the UN, its special envoy, the Human Rights Council, and the humanitarian organizations to condemn the attack, and to take a position toward the targeting of civilians and civilian objects.
