A Government Press Conference in Sana’a Affirms: The Saudi Criminality in Yemen Matches the Zionist Method in Gaza

The Ministries of Information, Public Health and Population, and Justice in the Sana’a government, along with the National Human Rights Commission, held a joint press conference on Saturday evening in the capital, Sana’a, to shed light on the Saudi escalation and its direct targeting of civilian objects, homes, and popular markets in various governorates.

Sana’a — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

At the press conference, the Minister of Health, Ali Shiban, revealed bloody updates of Riyadh’s recent massacres; where the non-final toll of victims of the aerial targeting of the homes of citizens in Al-Shuriyah village in Bani Hushaysh District in Sana’a Governorate rose to 70 victims (32 martyrs and 38 wounded), affirming the continuation of the operations of retrieving the victims from under the rubble, and the deliberate targeting by Saudi aviation of the paramedics and civil defense teams during their attempts to rescue the injured.

The Minister also explained that the toll of the Souq Al-Hadarah massacre in Al-Wazi’iyah District in Taiz Governorate reached 43 victims (30 martyrs and 13 wounded), raising the total victims of the governorate during the past 8 days to 199 martyrs and wounded. He noted that the total victims by the fire and bombardment of Saudi aviation since the start of the latest escalation reached 1,039 martyrs and wounded distributed over the various governorates.

For its part, the National Human Rights Commission affirmed that the targeting of Al-Shuriyah village represents a double crime to guarantee the killing of the largest number of citizens and the ambulance teams, stressing that these massacres fall within a series of genocide crimes and the targeting of infrastructure and civilian objects.

The Commission announced the documentation of all the crimes by name, sound, and image to ensure that they are not dropped by the statute of limitations, holding the Saudi regime full legal and criminal responsibility, and demanding the formation of an independent international investigation committee, the banning of arms sales to the Saudi regime, and breaking out of the shameful international silence.

For his part, the spokesman for the Sana’a government, Omar Al-Bukhaiti, affirmed the existence of a “complete match in the criminal behavior between the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and the Saudi aggression on Yemen in the deliberate killing of civilians,” refuting Riyadh’s claims regarding the existence of military targets in the targeted places and affirming that they are civilian objects subject to false marketing, and the government spokesman called on all international and human rights organizations, media outlets, and activists to carry out their moral and humanitarian duty in documenting and conveying the facts as they are, to confront the Saudi attempts to overturn the facts and mislead public opinion.
