A protest rally was staged by hundreds of women in Bani Hushish district of Sana’a province on Monday to condemn the economic siege imposed by the Saudi-led coalition on the Yemeni people.

At the rally, the participants also denounced raising the customs tariff in Aden port by the Saudi-backed government seeking to target the Yemeni people and its steadfastness in the face of the war.

The protesters considered the continuation of the shameful international silence and complicity as a step for encouraging the Saudi coalition in committing more war crimes and pushing millions of Yemenis to starvation.

They affirmed that responding to the violations and practices of the Saudi criminal coalition on the Yemeni women will be supporting mobilization efforts to fronts, proceeding to consolidate the faith identity and enhancing awareness in confronting its aggressive plans and conspiratorial agendas targeting Yemen, land and people.

The top leader of Anssarallah movement Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi said on Monday “We are not fans of war, but we want peace that ends the war and siege on our country.”

In his speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet’s migration, Sayyed Abdulmalik stressed that “the position of the Yemeni people is self-defense, because it is an assaulted people and a large part of its lands is occupied.”

Sayyed Abdulmalik pointed out that those who call for peace are sponsoring the continuation of the war and are offering peace on the Israeli way, referring to the American calls for peace in Yemen.

“The talk of Americans about peace is a mere deception,” he said, adding that peace on the American way is surrender, acceptance of the occupation of the Yemeni land and the continuation of aggression and siege, which is unacceptable” Al-Houthi said.

Sayyed Abdulmalik confirmed that the Yemeni people cannot accept the peace as “a title” with the continuation of raids, attacks, abuses and a suffocating siege.

“If there are serious intentions for peace, the first step is to address the humanitarian file, which represents a right to the Yemeni people,” he explained.

He pointed out that the problem lies in the insistence of the Saudi-led coalition countries on the continuation of their war, siege and evasion without taking practical steps, even with regard to the humanitarian file.

Dozens al-Qaeda fighters, including foreigners wearing Afghani uniforms, on three buses arrived in Marib city east of Yemen, through Al-Wadeah border crossing between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, local sources familiar with matter told Yemen Press Agency on Monday.

The sources affirmed that Saudi-led coalition forces have brought dozens of al-Qaeda members from Saudi Arabia to the city of Marib.

Sheikh Ali bin Hassan bin Gharib, the leader of the Saudi-backed Islah party received” these elements at his house in the areas of “Al Shabwan” in Wadi Ubaidah, east of the city of Marib.

The sources confirmed that the coalition’s reliance on the elements of the so-called “ISIS and al-Qaeda” is not new, as it has relied on them for five years in most battles, which were revealed by international and local reports about the participation of al-Qaeda elements and coalition soldiers in the fight against the forces of Sana’a.

“The coalition’s dependence on these elements is becoming greater today than before. This confirms that these organizations are one of the military wings of Saudi Arabia and the Muslim Brotherhood, who are used by the coalition in its critical battles.”

The sources revealed that there is great resentment among the tribal fighters and others, because of their public discovery that the coalition and the leadership of the Islah Party being behind the terrorist organizations from ISIS and Al-Qaeda.

These developments came after the coalition has been suffered the crushing defeat on the fronts on the outskirts of the city of Marib.

On last May 27, Sheikh Bin Ghraib’s house was previously targeted by US drone strikes, during a meeting that included al-Qaeda emirs with military leaders of the Islah party.

Sana’a International Airport called for wide participation in tweets campaign on social media on Monday to convey the voice of Yemenis to the whole world, regarding their suffering due to siege on the airport imposed by Saudi-led coalition for five years.

“In the name of the families of all the patients who urgently need to travel for treatment, so that their fate would not be the same as the fate of tens of thousands of the deceased, who needed to travel and were prevented from traveling through Sana’a International Airport, and in the name of all Yemeni expatriates who yearn to return to their families peacefully, we invite everyone to interact and participate in social media at eight o’clock on Monday evening,” a statement issued by the airport on its Facebook page.

The airport urged the participants to write their stories and explain their suffering, “to send it to the world and to the international community, to intervene and look at the forgotten catastrophe that Yemenis are experiencing, as well as to appeal to the political parties to look at the tragedy, and to make concessions for the sake of Yemenis.”

It stressed that Yemenis have the right to live like other peoples of the world and to exercise the most basic of their rights, which is the right to travel and move.

It mentioned that the hashtag #Sanaa_Airport_Blockade_Death_And_Suffering must be added.

UAE-funded media reported that Hadi government filed a lawsuit against Total due to the dispute over the gas amount produced by the company, it explained that Hadi government is asking the company for the amount value pumped from gas fields in Marib, while the company rejects this and insists that the quantity is what is produced after gas is compressed and liquefied, which is a big difference.

The sources indicated that the company alleges a decrease in the quantity of production after arriving at the export port; this prompted both parties to resort to the French judiciary, amid expectations that the case will be resolved in favor of the French company Total.

The sources hinted that the aim was to obstruct the operation of the facility; it is the increase in profits on the loans provided by the French company especially since these loans were expected to be repaid by 2018.

Since the start of the war on Yemen in March of 2015, the station, which cost Yemen $4 billion, has been shut down, it was expected to produce approximately 6.7 million metric tons of LNG annually, which is enough to enrich Yemen, the poor country, but a major manipulation process is taking place through the operating parties of the facility, most notably Total, which owns 39% of the company’s share, followed by a Korean company, and then the Yemeni Gas Corporation.
