American Militarization of Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab…The Hidden Target

The United States of America wanted to pass one of its open fallacies by the announcement of its navy, the first week, to form a multinational naval force to confront allegations of piracy and arms smuggling in the Red Sea.

Radwan Alamry-Alkhabar alyemeni:

At the end of the same day, its foreign minister, Anthony Blinken, appeared to say that his country had made great efforts to achieve a fragile truce in Yemen, expressing his hope that the truce leads to a comprehensive peace process.

This contradiction is not the first in US policy, but is considered close to it to achieve its goals in all parts of the world, and Yemen is no exception.

The fragile truce, according to Blinken, was nothing but a period of arrangement for its clients at home and region, after their inability to confront Sana’a, as well as to secure themselves from the attacks of its forces, which are becoming more and more ruthless the more their siege increases.

It is not surprising that the recent American step to save its allies or satisfy their resentment, where the war began on March 25, 2015, it was announced by Washington, followed by unlimited support for the countries of the war coalition on Yemen.

The dark intentions and malice of the coalition have been apparent since the beginning of the truce announcement at the beginning of this month. So far, not a single plane has arrived at Sana’a International Airport in the Red Sea, the coalition is still holding some emergency fuel ships to this day. This means that their intentions are not sincere in achieving peace in Yemen as much as they are taking a breath for the upcoming battle.

A direct American presence to satisfy the Saudi-Emirati anger or to get more money?!

Previously, it was silent about any disagreement with Washington, but their failure to rein Sanaa’s forces

the steady superiority in ballistic missiles, drones, naval power and its ability to strike military targets deep within the two countries, it prompted them to make official statements regarding the strained relations between them and Washington this came in the words of the Emirati ambassador to Washington, Yousef Al-Otaiba, on March 3, speaking about relations with America, he said, “Like any relationship that has strong days, the relationship is very healthy and days are questionable, and today we are going through a stress test, but I am sure we will get through it, and get to a better position.

At a time when the United States of America needed UAE and Saudi Arabia to provide the necessary support to confront Russia -After its military operations in Ukraine- as strategic allies, the response, for the first time, differed from Washington’s requests. The unexpected opportunity has come and we are working to exploit it to put pressure on Washington, in providing more direct and indirect support and affirming its commitments towards their security after their involvement in the war on Yemen to implement its objectives in the region.

the two countries’ dissatisfaction with US administration’s responses, UAE abstained from voting in the Security Council regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war, as well as the reception of the Russian Foreign Minister in UAE in a remarkable way on the 17th of last month, followed by a visit of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, about a day later, in his first visit to an Arab country since the beginning of the war in Syria. On the same level, Saudi Arabia took cold diplomatic responses in light of the American tendency to impose sanctions on Russia, the Chinese president is scheduled to visit Saudi Arabia at an official invitation next month, according to what was announced by Saudi newspapers.

Axios website quoted on two well-informed sources as saying that US Secretary of State apologized to Mohammed bin Zayed for the delay of US response in America’s condemnation to the recent Sana’a attacks in UAE. This came in a meeting with them in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, a few weeks ago.

And through the American relations with Gulf countries in general during the past decades, we conclude that the American slowdown in achieving the demands of UAE and Saudi Arabia was nothing but an attempt to earn more money, it will get it in return for this step, even at the expense of the ongoing peace process in Yemen.

Strategic goals in light of international changes

The main stated objective of US Navy with its presence in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden is to combat piracy and arms smuggling received by “Houthis” from Tehran, according to her statements, reported by Reuters, as if they were not involved in the participation of the coalition countries in the siege imposed along the coasts of Red Sea during the past years, searching all ships and even seizing fuel and food ships, causing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.

And through the nature of the tasks and the size of the force announced by Major General Cooper, commander of US Fifth Fleet, in statements to Reuters. The force that will operate from today is made up of 34 countries, it includes a naval force ranging from two to eight ships, which means that there are other goals that Washington bears behind this presence; the strategic weight of  Bab al-Mandab Strait, with its important location and the passage of about 12% of the world trade movement, is an important factor that indicates the American interest in controlling it, especially in light of the current international changes that pave the way for a strong Chinese presence in the Middle East region.
