Exclusive-Alkhabar alyemeni:

The “Intelligence Online” website, affiliated with the French intelligence, published a report on the latest developments in Yemen. It referred to the assignment of the Sultan of Oman to the director of his office and the supervisor of the Omani intelligence, to manage communications between Riyadh and Sana’a. He pointed out that communications conducted via the Internet and revolve around the border file.

The Omani assignment came after a meeting between the Egyptian president and the Sultan of Oman following the visit of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Cairo, this indicates that Saudi Arabia, which is pushing for the extension of the armistice, asked Oman to mediate in the efforts to get out from the quagmire of the war on Yemen.

The report linked the success of contacts with regional developments, most notably the negotiations sponsored by Iraq.

Although Sana’a has not officially commented on this news, however, Saudi Arabia had previously leaked through Reuters news agency, talking about direct contacts with what it describes as “Houthis” regarding the extension of the truce.

The conclusion of a Saudi-Yemeni agreement may push towards ending the Saudi-Emirati intervention in Yemen, especially since the Omani movement came in the wake of the Foreign Minister’s talk about his country’s vision for a solution in Yemen, it includes the formation of a government of national accord that guarantees the interests of all in a sign that the Sultanate is seeking to push for Yemeni negotiations after the end of Sana’a and Riyadh negotiations.
