The incidence of burn injuries in Gaza has increased as a result of the war, and the Ministry of Health attributed this to Tel Aviv’s use of thermal radiation weapons that caused a mass of flame that burned the bodies of people at the site of the target.
According to statistics, the number of injured in the Gaza Strip exceeded 90,000, at least 40% of whom had second-degree burns and above.
They suffer from physical and psychological pain in light of the acute shortage of painkillers and medical supplies to sterilize and treat burns, especially in light of the high temperatures. Doctors say many of these cases are in grave danger.
Since Israel began its military operation in the Rafah governorate, the far south of the Gaza Strip, and closed the crossings following the concentrated attack on the city, no medicines or medical supplies have entered health facilities, and perhaps the most prominent treatments that quickly ran out of Gaza are those related to burns, which portends deformities and inevitable death.
