The Israeli army issued a warning to evacuate several areas in the Gaza Strip this evening (Sunday) prior to carrying out an attack, after detecting the launch of two rockets from the central Gaza Strip toward Israel.
The army said in a statement, “To all residents of the Gaza Strip present in the Al-Qarara area, the Al-Salqa municipality, southern Deir al-Balah, and the neighborhoods of Al-Ja’farawi, Al-Suwar, Abu Hadab, and Al-Satar, this is a preliminary and final warning before the attack.”
It added, “For your safety, you must move immediately westward to the known shelters in Al-Mawasi.”
The army continued, “We will attack with great force any area used for launching rockets.”
This came shortly after the Israeli army announced the start of a “large-scale ground operation” in the northern and southern Gaza Strip as part of Operation Gideon’s Arms.
