The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression, which began on March 2nd and continues until April 6th, has risen to 1,497.
In its daily report issued by the Health Emergency Operations Center, the Ministry stated that the number of wounded has increased to 4,639.
Various areas of Lebanon witnessed continuous Israeli airstrikes today, resulting in deaths and injuries, as well as widespread damage to buildings and infrastructure.
The Ministry reported that an airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle at the Kafr Rumman roundabout in the Nabatieh district resulted in the deaths of four citizens, while another airstrike on the town of Haris in southern Lebanon resulted in the deaths of two citizens.
In a significant escalation, Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, following renewed warnings to residents of several areas, including Ghobeiri, Burj al-Barajneh, Haret Hreik, Chiyah, Laylaki, Hadath, and Hawta al-Ghadir. The airstrikes and artillery shelling also targeted several towns in the south, including Tayr Debba, Majdal Zoun, Qleileh, Doueir, Dbeibine, Bazouriyeh, Jmeijmeh, Majdal Selm, Zibdine, Qana, Halta, and Khiam, in addition to other towns such as Barghaz, Adchit, Barashit, Siddiqine, Nabatieh al-Fouqa, Ansariyeh, Bafliyeh, Mayfadoun, Haboush, Burj Rahal, Bint Jbeil, Hanawiya, Sarbin, Kfar, Hadatha, Sultaniyeh, Harouf, and Toul.
The bombardment extended to areas in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, including Mashghara, Sahmar, Qlaya, and Zlaya, amidst continued aerial and artillery bombardment.
