Squadrons of Emirati Fighter Planes Arrive in Socotra

Squadrons of Emirati fighter planes have arrived in Socotra, as part of its attempt to strengthen its presence on the important strategic Yemeni island overlooking the Indian Ocean and the Arabian Sea.

Pro-coalition media reported that Abu Dhabi had sent dozens of combat helicopters to a newly established military base belonging to it, on Abdul Kuri Island.

It pointed out that the arrival of Emirati helicopters to the archipelago is a prelude to the arrival of new naval vessels to the island in the coming days.

The sources indicated that the Emirati occupation and the Israel behind it aim, through the arrival of these warplanes, to strengthen their presence on the Yemeni islands and coasts, to control international shipping routes, as well as to plunder the country’s wealth.
