The UAE continued to make large land purchases on the Yemeni occupied Socotra archipelago, Yemen News Portal said on Tuesday, based on testimonies of sources
Sources said Emirati entities and personalities had purchased a land located within the campus of Socotra International Airport in the city of Hadibo, the capital of the Socotra archipelago province.
The sources added that the UAE bought a piece of land near the runway from the east after similar purchases in a number of strategic locations on the island.
The UAE operates air and sea flights to the island without any coordination with the Yemeni authorities.
