Sana’a vowed to raise the pace of escalation against the Israeli occupation to the third stage amid unprecedented demonstrations in Yemeni cities, particularly in the capital Sana’a, where millions gathered in Al-Sabeen Square. So, what are its most prominent indicators?
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
A spokesman for the Sana’a forces announced extensive airstrikes deep inside the Israeli occupation in the city of Umm Al-Rashrash, also known as “Eilat,” one day after massive demonstrations described as a comprehensive Yemeni mandate for the military leadership to escalate attacks against the Israeli occupation.
These attacks, which Brigadier General Yahya Sari described as targeting sensitive objectives, come shortly after a brief halt following Sana’a’s focus on closing the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea to ships heading to Israeli ports. This is an indication that Sana’a has indeed entered the third stage of escalation, or specifically, the preparation phase, as it successfully paralyzed Israeli ports on the Red Sea, as admitted by an Israeli official, particularly the director of Eilat Port, who stated a loss of 85% of Red Sea profits. In addition, major international shipping companies have announced the suspension of operations through the Red Sea.
Sana’a’s air attacks on southern Israel are not new, as Sana’a officially joined the Al-Aqsa Flood Line with a series of missile attacks and drone strikes, reaching the point where the occupation describes it as an aerial space war. However, this time there is mention of “sensitive targets,” indicating that the third stage may not solely aim to pressure the occupation but also to inflict significant damage, as is the case with ships that may ignore the instructions of naval forces and risk sinking during the third stage, as indicated by the Commander of the Coastal Defense Brigade of the Sana’a Forces, Major General Muhammad Ali Al-Qadri, who considered the current attacks as just a warning to those ships and was not intended to sink them.
Sana’a initially participated in the Al-Aqsa Flood with airstrikes before progressing to partial and then complete naval attacks. However, officials in Sana’a affirm that the third stage may witness an expansion of both operations and the execution of unexpected ones. Most importantly, the leaders invoked the phrase “more painful,” indicating that it will be strong, especially amid circulating reports of introducing weapons into service that have not yet been utilized in operations.
